The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, will host an Arena Soccer International Game at 7:35 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 at Citizens Business Bank Arena featuring the National Minifootball Team of Guatemala.
The Ontario Fury are no strangers when it comes to hosting International teams at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Past games have featured the National Teams of Brazil, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Kazakhstan, Mexico, United States and now Guatemala.
“The overwhelming response from our fans and the atmosphere we’ve had for these past international games have been amazing, and we want to give our fans the opportunity to watch more of these exciting games,” said Fury president Bernie Lilavois. “We continue to lead the way in hosting these exhibition games to not only help grow the sport but also as I mentioned, to give our fans more exciting Arena Soccer to watch during the offseason months of our league”.
Rosters for the game will be announced in the coming weeks. The Guatemalan team recently competed in the 2017 WMF World Cup this past October in Tunisia. They will be on a short California Tour in preparations for a tournament May 9-13, 2018 in Moscow, Russia as well as being the hosts for the first ever 2018 Pan American Minifootball Championships in Guatemala June 7-13, 2018.
